It is officially February, the month of love! This week we’ve got a decadent recipe from our friends at the American Diabetes Association that will satisfy any sweet tooth. This dessert is not only delicious, but made in a mug so it is individually portioned. This chocolate walnut cake makes a perfect dessert to share with your Valentine, or to indulge in after a long day. Welcome to the wonderful world of mug cakes!
Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 2 Tbsp white whole wheat flour
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Pinch salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Stevia powder
- 1 1/2 tsp canola oil
- 2 Tbsp skim milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 Tbsp chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Spray a coffee mug with cooking spray
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, Stevia, canola oil, milk and vanilla and stir to combine
- Microwave for 45 seconds
- Top with walnuts and serve
